The Story of MxPx
MxPx formed in high-school-1992. The original line-up was Mike on bass, Yuri on drums, and Andy Husted on guitar. MxPx(Magnified Plaid) was named after a really loud plaid shirt that Andy wore. After Pokinatcha was released, Andy left the band and was replaced by Tom. The name was also replaced by Yuri. The band decided to shorten the name to M.P., but when Yuri was making promo posters, the dots turned to x's-hence, MxPx. The band was on the Christian label Tooth & Nail Records for a while, but then decided to sign with A&M Records, leading some fans to say MxPx "sold-out on GOD". First, they never said they were a Christian band, they said they were Christians IN a band. Second, listen to the lyrics on the new CD. This is just a brief bio, check out the official web page for more.
